Anyone who knows me well will tell you I love to be outside in nature and I love taking pictures. It’s my favorite thing to do. I take pictures of just about anything that catches my eye. I mainly do nature, landscape, macro, architecture, and pet photography. I would love to expand to astrophotography someday - that is the dream!

I have been lucky enough to live in different parts of the country, thanks to my hubby. Moving to a new state is no walk in the park, but once the initial panic of being in a strange place fades and I locate the nearest Target, it is totally exhilarating to experience new places, cultures, food, people, and even climates. Although we’d like to settle down soon, I hope to continue traveling, next time around the world (but not in 80 days).

I am a total amateur, and I haven’t taken any photography classes nor do I have a fancy camera (does an iPhone count? I’m saving up for a legit camera) but I have received nice compliments on my shots over the years (not counting the obligatory “likes” on Facebook by friends and family) and have been told I have “a good eye.”

I never considered sharing my photos online but I recently realized the importance of cultivating hobbies and having a life outside of my day job. I find the process of designing a website, uploading my favorite photos and sharing it with people to be a wonderful, creative outlet that is almost meditative and relaxing. In short, it keeps my sane. It’s a nice break from the “real world” and a chance to share photos that I hope people enjoy as much as I do.
